Google released a new product this morning named Dashboard. No, it won’t help you search better. No, it won’t make you more productive. What it will do, is show you the information Google currently keeps on you. You can link directly to account settings, change who has access to your data, and more. For instance – some time ago – I had given a 3rd party access to my calendar. The company has long closed – I was able to remove their access from the dashboard. I applaud Google for taking this step and being so transparent. To my knowledge, they are the first to do this.

You don’t think this is such a big step, do you? It’s more of an overview page of data kept in each service for that account, listed together, making the oversight clearer. You already could access it from google.com/accounts
which is where the main hyperlink to Dashboard is located. No excess fuss, please.
No – not at all. It is a step in the right direction. Thanks for stopping by!
